Rebecca Jopling

Rebecca Jopling is a Research Fellow and Project Manager in Health Service & Population Research, specializing in mental health and HIV interventions within low-resource African contexts. Her collaborative work spans institutions in Zimbabwe, Ghana, and Malawi, supported by UK research councils including MRC and UKRI GCRF.

Her research focuses on integrating mental health care into HIV treatment frameworks, particularly examining antiretroviral therapy adherence barriers among emerging adults, school-based depression interventions for adolescents, and task-sharing models utilizing lay counselors. Key methodological approaches include randomized controlled trials, qualitative studies on stigma and social barriers, and implementation research for scalable solutions in resource-constrained settings.
