Rebecca Coman

Rebecca Coman serves as Director of Online Education and Assistant Professor of Education at East Texas Baptist University (ETBU), holding dual roles in academic leadership and instruction within the Education Division. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction Math from the University of Texas at Arlington, complemented by Texas teaching certification and Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA) credentials after 23 years as a public school educator.

Her research centers on Curriculum and Instruction with specialization in Mathematics Education, driven by a philosophy that "engaging learning environments enable flourishing". As Director of Online Education, she focuses on Instructional Design innovations and Online Education strategies to cultivate student engagement through evidence-based methodologies in digital learning spaces.

Outside academia, Coman is married to Pastor Tim Coman; they share interests in film and caring for their cat Leland, reflecting her emphasis on holistic personal development beyond professional duties.
