Rebecca Ann Rountree

Rebecca Ann Rountree is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing-Undergrad at the University of Texas at Arlington’s College of Nursing and Health Innovation. She transitioned to full-time faculty in 2023 after serving as an adjunct clinical faculty member since 2021. Her academic journey includes a BSN (2005) and MSN in Nursing Education (2020), both from UTA. Her professional background spans obstetrical nursing (since 2005) and clinical education (since 2016).

Rebecca specializes in teaching courses like Nursing of the Childbearing Family, co-leading instruction, and is an AWHONN-certified Fetal Monitoring instructor. Her research and publications focus on integrating electronic health records (EHR) into clinical education and developing mentorship programs for nurses.

Awarded the 2018 DFW Great 100 Nurse, she holds certifications in Electronic Fetal Monitoring and Inpatient Obstetric Nursing. Her service contributions include training new faculty, leading the New Employee Onboarding program, and volunteering at the Hope Center in Denton. She actively participates in professional organizations like AWHONN and contributes to curriculum development initiatives such as the Graduate Nurse Residency Program.
