Rebecca Ann Rountree is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Undergraduate Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington's College of Nursing and Health Innovation. She earned both her BSN (2005) and MSN in Nursing Education (2020) from UTA. With over 18 years of nursing experience, her career began in obstetrical nursing before transitioning to clinical education in 2016. She joined UTA as an adjunct faculty member in 2021 and transitioned to full-time in 2023.
Her teaching focuses on courses such as Nursing of the Childbearing Family, where she co-leads and instructs. She is an AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring instructor, holding certifications in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing and Electronic Fetal Monitoring.
Rebecca has received the DFW Great 100 Nurse award (2018) and maintains membership in the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (2016–2023). She actively contributes to university service, including leading new faculty onboarding, participating in curriculum subcommittees, and mentoring. Community involvement includes volunteering at the Hope Center in Denton.
