Raymond Gaddy

Raymond Gaddy is a Professor of Foundation Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), holding this position since Fall 2023. Previously, he served as Associate Professor of Painting and Drawing (2018–2023), Art Gallery Director at Georgia Southern University (2018–2022), and Chair of the Cultural Affairs Commission for the City of Savannah (2009–2018). His career spans roles in academia, arts administration, and community leadership.

He actively engages in professional development through visiting artist lectures and workshops on topics like bookbinding and art history.

Professional Engagement: Participated in over a dozen conferences of the Southeastern College Art Conference (SECAC) and contributed to panels at Foundations in Art: Theory and Education (FATE) conferences. His work bridges studio practice, pedagogy, and community arts advocacy.
