Rasmus Andersen

Rasmus Andersen is a Research Fellow in the Department of History at the European University Institute (EUI) since 2022. His research focuses on the legacies of Trotskyist thought, examining the intersections of bureaucracy, capitalism, and revolutionary ideology within post-revolutionary leftist movements from 1938 to 2008. His doctoral thesis, supervised by Nicolas Guilhot and Emmanuel Mourlon-Druol, explores how Trotsky's ideas influenced political and social thought amid 20th-century global transformations. Andersen holds Danish nationality and contributes to academic clusters analyzing revolutionary legacies and transnational political movements.
