Raphaël Porcher is an Associate Professor of Biostatistics at Université Paris Cité (formerly Université de Paris) and a key member of the METHODS research team at Inserm Research Centre CRESS UMR 1153. His laboratory focuses on developing methodologies for therapeutic evaluation in chronic diseases.
His research spans three primary domains:
- Causal inference: Treatment effect estimation in observational/randomized studies, with specialization in transplantation research
- Oncology therapeutics: Biomarker-driven drug development and adaptive clinical trial designs
- Meta-research: Complex system approaches to research methodology
With over 250 publications (35+ as first/senior author), his work encompasses statistical methodology, clinical trials, and prognostic studies. He holds significant editorial positions at leading medical journals including Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research and the Journal of Hepatology.
Professor Porcher teaches graduate courses in observational research methods and personalized medicine within the CER Master program.
