Professor Ranjit Manchanda is Professor of Gynaecological Oncology at Queen Mary University of London and Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist at Barts Health NHS Trust. He co-leads the Cancer Prevention Unit.
He holds a PhD in Gynaecological Oncology from UCL and completed subspecialty training at UCLH and Barts, following medical qualifications.
Research develops 'Targeted Precision Prevention' approaches including population genetic screening, mainstreamed testing, and risk-stratified interventions for gynaecological cancers. He leads multiple national trials including PROTECT (population germline testing) and PROTECTOR (ovarian cancer prevention).
Publications focus on cost-effective prevention strategies, genetic testing implementation, and guideline development. He supervises PhD students in cancer prevention modeling and clinical translation.
