Randy W. Nelson is a Professor of New Testament Studies at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul with 25 years of full-time teaching experience. He previously served as Chair of the Department of Biblical & Theological Studies for nine years. His interactive teaching style challenges students to academic rigor, earning him multiple teaching nominations and awards.
Education includes a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Rice University, M.Div. from Bethel Theological Seminary, and B.A. from Northwestern College.
Research focuses on New Testament studies, gospel analysis, hermeneutics, and biblical worldview formation. His work explores theological frameworks and interpretive methodologies.
Awards include the Excellence in Service Faculty Award (2007) and multiple nominations for 'Who's Who Among American Teachers'.
