Randy King

Randy King serves as Associate Professor of Education at George Fox University, where he joined in 2019 as an assistant professor and teaches in the Accelerated Teaching Degree program. His professional background includes three years as a student achievement specialist at West Powellhurst Elementary School in Portland's David Douglas School District, providing instructional coaching for K-5 teachers.

King's research and teaching interests focus on elementary education practices, instructional coaching methodologies, and teacher preparation programs for K-5 settings. His practical experience informs his approach to educator development, emphasizing classroom application and leadership collaboration.

He maintains active involvement in educational leadership through roles as facilitator of Powellhurst’s building leadership team (2016–present), former member of the district’s math leadership and assessment teams (2016–17), and prior service as building leadership team representative at Gilbert Park Elementary (2014–16).
