Rachel Evans

Rachel Evans is a Lecturer at The University of Texas at Tyler's Intensive English Language Institute (IELI), where she teaches ESL and coordinates web communications, marketing, recruitment, and passport services. She holds a B.A. in TESOL from Howard Payne University (2008) and has international experience living and teaching in China, Singapore, Thailand, France, and Germany.

Her work focuses on TESOL methodologies, cross-cultural communication challenges, and supporting international students' adjustment. Evans speaks conversational Mandarin Chinese and is studying French, leveraging her overseas experiences to address culture shock and language acquisition barriers. As a U.S. Department of State Passport Acceptance Agent, she manages passport services for the IELI International Community Services unit.
