Rachel Cox is an Associate Professor and Area Head of Photography at the University of Iowa’s School of Art and Art History. She holds an MFA in Photography from the University of New Mexico. Her photographic work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Des Moines Art Center, Musée de l'Elysée (Switzerland), and Photo London, and featured in publications like TIME and The Guardian.
Her practice explores conceptual and documentary photography, often addressing identity and spatial narratives. Collections holding her work include the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and the Museum of Contemporary Photography.
