Rachel Carter

Rachel Carter is an Assistant Professor in Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at Delaware Valley University. She graduated from DelVal's equine science program and earned her Master's of Science in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut.

Her research focuses on

• growth and development of Beef x Dairy crossbred calves
• maternal and fetal programming via multigenerational ovine models
• mitochondrial function in relation to aging and diet
• vascular and muscle development

Carter transitioned from a research technician role at UConn's Kinesiology Laboratory to teaching, emphasizing real-world experiences to bridge academic-industry gaps. She mentors undergraduate students and advocates for holistic educational support.
