Rachel Aukett

Rachel Aukett is a Senior Lecturer at King's College London, affiliated with the School of Education, Communication & Society within the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy. She specializes in languages teacher education across primary and secondary phases, focusing on German, French, and Spanish. She holds a Master's Degree in Education Management, specializing in Primary Languages.

Her research interests include adaptive online education, facilitating successful transition in languages education between primary and secondary phases, and the role of motivation in teacher development. She actively contributes to educational resources, editing the Association for Languages Learning's 'Languages Today' magazine and maintaining @TheMFLHive, a Twitter platform with over 3,000 tweets/retweets since 2009.

Rachel teaches on the MFL Secondary PGCE course and serves as an S3P tutor. She is affiliated with the Research Centre for Language, Discourse & Communication, a hub for linguistics and language-in-education research.
