Kerry Bevan

Kerry Bevan is a Senior Lecturer in Teacher Education & Professional Learning at Cardiff School of Education & Social Policy, and Subject Lead for PGCE Secondary Languages. She joined Cardiff Met in 2020 as an Associate Tutor and has led PGCE MFL Secondary programs since 2021. Bevan holds an MA in Education (Wales) and a PGCE in Languages from Homerton College Cambridge.

• External examiner for Warwick University's PGCE Secondary Modern Languages
• Active in Welsh language policy through Global Futures Wales Steering Group and WJEC partnerships

Research Interests focus on Modern Foreign Languages education, curriculum innovation, and the intersection of postcolonial theory with pedagogy. Her 2024 publication addresses MFL teachers' perspectives on decolonizing language instruction.
