Rachael Wittern

Dr. Rachael Wittern is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Northwestern College, where she has been on faculty since 2022. She holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary, alongside multiple advanced degrees in psychology and leadership. Her career includes significant military and clinical experience, including roles as a clinical psychologist in the U.S. Army and Veterans Affairs systems.

Her research focuses on trauma treatment, military psychology, and pediatric mental health. She has specialized in trauma-informed therapies such as TrIGR, EMDR, and CBT. Her scholarship addresses neuropsychological interventions in outpatient settings, neurodevelopmental disorders, and anxiety management in pediatric emergencies.

Dr. Wittern’s honors include Army Achievement and Commendation Medals for her service, alongside a prestigious scholarship from Fuller’s psychology program. She has held adjunct roles at Kingdom College and contributed to clinical work at VA hospitals and military medical centers.
