Dr. Rachael DeWitt is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for the Humanities at Washington University in St. Louis. Her research examines intersections of 19th-century American literature, environmental humanities, and queer theory. She received her Ph.D. in English from UC Davis and M.A. in Environmental Humanities from the University of Utah.
Her current book project explores nonnormative forms of coexistence in American literature as models for sustainable feminist, queer, and ecological sociality. She has published in PMLA, ESQ, and other scholarly journals.
