Rabia Rizwan

Rabia Rizwan, MBBS is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of General Internal Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. Her academic affiliation includes primary appointment in General Internal Medicine with cross-departmental collaborations in infectious diseases and nephrology. She completed her medical degree at King Edward Medical University.

Her research focuses on healthcare disparities, gastrointestinal outcomes in complex patient populations, and procedural outcomes in transplant and end-stage renal disease patients. Key areas include racial disparities in Clostridioides difficile infections, post-ERCP complications in liver transplant recipients, and vascular intestinal emergencies in renal failure patients.

Recent work highlights national database analyses of readmission patterns and frailty's role in infectious disease outcomes. Collaborations include prominent gastroenterologists like Dr. Abdelkader Chaar and Dr. Paul Feuerstadt.
