Professor BASHIROV's research primarily focuses on Petri Nets and their diverse applications across scientific domains. His work demonstrates exceptional versatility in applying mathematical modeling techniques to complex biological systems, interconnection networks, and cryptographic algorithms. He has pioneered the use of hybrid Petri Net approaches that bridge discrete and continuous modeling paradigms, enabling more accurate representations of dynamic systems in both computational biology and network engineering contexts. His research methodology consistently emphasizes quantitative validation of theoretical models against real-world data.

Throughout his extensive academic career, Professor BASHIROV has supervised 17 graduate students to completion, including 5 PhD candidates and 12 Master's students.
