Qixiang Fang

Dr. Qixiang Fang is a Researcher at the Department of Methodology and Statistics, Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at Utrecht University. He holds a postdoctoral position in the EU IMPROVE project and is a member of the ODISSEI Social Data Science (SoDa) Team. His work bridges Natural Language Processing (NLP), psychometrics, and philosophy of science, with a focus on computational social sciences and applied data science.

Research interests include AI ethics, measurement theory in NLP, educational benchmarking, and user behavior modeling. He teaches statistics and NLP at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Fang actively contributes to open-source tools like ASReview for systematic reviews and co-organized the 2021-2022 Data Science Summer Schools on Text Mining with R.
