Priya Saravanakumar is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at University of Technology Sydney. Her research focuses on wellbeing in vulnerable aging populations, particularly culturally diverse older adults and those in residential care. With clinical experience across five countries, she employs mixed-methods approaches including large dataset analysis and community-based participatory research.
Funded projects address person-centered infection prevention in aged care (NHMRC grant) and social determinants of health. Publications examine frailty, food insecurity, and mental health in aging populations across India, China and New Zealand. She coordinates higher degree research programs and contributes to ageing research initiatives at UTS.
