Pratap Devarapalli

Pratap Devarapalli is an Adjunct Researcher at the University of Tasmania's Faculty of Law and Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Queensland's School of Law, with additional affiliation at Macquarie University's ARC Centre for Excellence in Synthetic Biology. His expertise spans intellectual property strategy for emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, 3D bioprinting, and synthetic biology.

Research focuses on global patent systems, bioprinting IP frameworks, and AI-driven patent law evolution. Recent publications analyze RNA virus patent landscapes, 3D bioprinting regulation, and non-traditional IP approaches in biomedicine. His work includes international collaborations with Japanese Patent Office and Max Planck Institute.
