Pradip Malde is a Professor of Art with a focus on photography, documentary photography, and electronic media. He graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 1980 and has worked as a photographic artist and educator in Scotland and Tennessee.

His research explores the intersection of photography with community development, particularly in Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, and Grundy County, TN. He utilizes platinum-palladium printing and visual storytelling to address cultural and social issues.
Malde’s artwork has been exhibited internationally and is held in prestigious collections such as the Princeton University Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, and Scottish National Portrait Gallery. His recent book, From Where Loss Comes (Charcoal Press, 2022), combines documentary photography with narratives of cultural memory.
