Pierre Kaser is a Professor in the Department of Asian Studies at Aix-Marseille University, where he has taught ancient Chinese literature and literary translation for over twenty years. He directs the research axis "Literatures of Asia and Translation" at the Institute of Asian Research (IrAsia – UMR 7306) and serves as editor-in-chief of the online journal Impressions d’Extrême-Orient.
