Pia Skott

Pia Skott is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Education and Didactics, Stockholm University, since March 2016. She serves as Head of Education for the Principal's Program and course manager for continuing education programs for school principals. Affiliated with the SOUL (School Organization, Development and Leadership) research group, her work spans educational leadership, school governance, and curriculum theory.

Research interests include:

• Political governance and local staging of education
• Sustainable school development
• Health-promoting leadership practices
• Principal training and professional learning
• Curriculum theory and policy implementation

Her recent publications focus on distributed leadership for sustainability, health promotion strategies in schools, and curriculum adaptation to local contexts. Key themes include synchronization of leadership practices, health competence development, and contextualized educational reforms.

Projects she has led or co-led include studies on sustainable learning (2017-2020), student health competence (2016-2017), principal training efficacy (2015-2017), and preschool leadership structures (2015).
