Phillip Bennett

Phillip Bennett is a Clinical Professor and Acting Head of the Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction at Imperial College London's Faculty of Medicine. He leads major research centers including the March of Dimes European Preterm Birth Research Centre and the Tommy's National Miscarriage Research Centre. His roles span academic leadership, clinical research, and institutional governance.

Leadership roles include Director of the Institute of Reproductive and Developmental Biology (2014-2024) and joint lead of Imperial's NIHR BRC Pregnancy and Prematurity Theme. His qualifications include dual PhD/MD from University of London (1993/1988) and multiple national/international fellowships.
