David MacIntyre

Professor David MacIntyre is a Professor of Reproductive Systems Medicine and Director of the University of Adelaide's Robinson Research Institute. He also holds roles at Imperial College London as Section Head of Pregnancy, Parturition and Prematurity, and Co-Director of the March of Dimes Prematurity Research Centre. His research focuses on the microbiome's influence on reproductive health outcomes and developing clinical diagnostic tools for maternal and neonatal health.

Education:

• PhD in Reproductive Medicine, University of Newcastle, Australia (2007)
• Postdoctoral training at Centro de Investigacion Principe Felipe, Spain

Research interests include translational medicine, metabolic profiling, and global health collaborations. His work is supported by grants from the March of Dimes, UK MRC, Gates Foundation, and ERC, spanning partnerships in 12+ countries.

Grants & Collaborations: Focus on prematurity research, maternal health diagnostics, and microbiome applications. Active in international networks across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
