Philippa Hoskin is Professor of Medieval Studies at the University of Cambridge's Faculty of Divinity and a Fellow of Corpus Christi College, where she also serves as the Gaylord & Dorothy Donnelley Fellow Librarian. Her research specializes in medieval ecclesiastical history with particular focus on administrative practices, pastoral care systems, and canon law development in 13th-century England.

- Evolution of pastoral theology and practice
- Manuscript production and textual transmission
- Seal authentication and documentary culture
As Principal Research Associate, she leads projects including the Parker Library conservation initiative and the medieval cause papers archive. Her work bridges archival studies, codicology, and digital humanities through collaborations with the Stanford-based Parker Library project and international seal research consortiums.
