Philipp Rothemund is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor at the University of Stuttgart, leading the Soft Robotics for Autonomous Systems research group. He joined the Department of Robotic Materials in 2020 as a postdoctoral researcher and was promoted to his current role in May 2023. His work combines mechanics, physics, and materials science to develop intelligent soft robotic systems and smart structures through analytical and numerical modeling of electrohydraulic actuators.
