Philip Reeder

Dr. Philip Reeder is a Professor in the Department of Environmental and Energy Engineering at Duquesne University's School of Science and Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, an M.S. in Geography from Western Kentucky University, and a B.S. in Earth Science from Frostburg State University.

His research investigates environmental change, paleo-climate dynamics, landscape evolution, geoarchaeology, and environmental sustainability. Key areas include water resources, hydrology, karst systems, and human-environment interactions across regions like Israel, Belize, and Eastern Europe.

Dr. Reeder has led international fieldwork in South Korea, Israel, Belize, and the Baltic states. He secured grants from the National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and National Geographic Society. From 2013 to 2021, he served as Dean of the School of Science and Engineering.
