Professor Philip Goad is a Redmond Barry Distinguished Professor and Chair of Architecture at the University of Melbourne's Melbourne School of Design. He is an internationally recognized authority on modern Australian architecture, with expertise in architectural conservation, curation, and the work of Robin Boyd. His research spans architectural history, urban heritage, and Indigenous place practices.
Professor Goad has held visiting scholar roles at Columbia University, Bartlett School of Architecture (London), and UCLA. He serves as a contributing editor to Architecture Australia and co-edited The Encyclopedia of Australian Architecture. He is affiliated with the Australian Centre for Architectural History, Urban and Cultural Heritage (ACAHUCH).
