Philip David Jones

Professor Philip David Jones is Associate Dean (Education) at UNSW Medicine since January 2006. He holds a conjoint appointment at the Prince of Wales Clinical School and works as a senior staff specialist in the Department of Infectious Diseases at Prince of Wales Hospital.

Education:

• MD from Sydney University (1976)
• PhD in Immunology from Australian National University (1987)
• Master of Higher Education from UNSW Professional Development Centre (2000)

His research focuses on Medical Education and Immunology, with expertise in curriculum development, infectious diseases, and educational assessment. He played a pivotal role in designing UNSW's Medicine program from 1998.

Teaching Excellence & Awards:

• Recipient of the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence (2010)
