Dr. Peter Witt serves as an Adjunct Professor at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and holds a professorship in Technology and Innovation Management at the University of Wuppertal. He completed his economics degree at the University of Bonn, earned his PhD in Business Administration from WHU in 1996, and habilitated at Humboldt University Berlin in 2002.
His research focuses on entrepreneurship, innovation management, and corporate governance, with publications in journals such as Entrepreneurship & Regional Development and R&D Management. He is a department editor for entrepreneurship and SME at the Journal of Business Economics.
Prof. Witt advises major corporations like 3M, Bayer, and Deutsche Bahn on corporate venturing and executive education. From 2008–2015, he led the German-speaking Entrepreneurship Association (FGF e.V.).
He has received numerous teaching awards across institutions, including multiple 'Best Teacher' recognitions at WHU, Dortmund, and Mainz. His involvement at WHU includes fostering corporate partnerships, designing executive programs, and contributing to research initiatives.
