Peter Trummer is a Professor for Urban Design and Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Innsbruck, with adjunct affiliations at SCI-Arc. He holds a master's degree from Technical University Graz (supervised by Günther Domenig), a postgraduate degree from Berlage Institute Amsterdam, and a PhD from University of Applied Art Vienna (supervised by Sanford Kwinter). His research focuses on urban design methodologies and architectural theory.
Trummer previously headed the Associative Design Program at Berlage Institute Rotterdam (2004-2010) and served as project architect at UNStudio. He maintains an active international presence as guest critic and lecturer at institutions including AA London, University of Pennsylvania, Harvard GSD, Princeton, and Yale.
His scholarly contributions include exhibitions at Venice Architecture Biennale (2006, 2012, 2021, 2023) and Chicago Architecture Biennial (2023).
