Dele Adeyemo is a Scottish/Nigerian artist, architect, and critical urban theorist based in London and Lagos. He currently teaches an Architecture Design Studio at the Royal College of Art (School of Architecture) and is completing a CHASE-AHRC funded doctorate titled ‘Last Dark Continent’ at Goldsmiths, University of London. His practice integrates drawing, film, and installation to explore racialized spatial processes and embodied cultures of movement in African and diasporic contexts.
- Research Focus: Spatial imaginaries of Black life, critical urban theory, transdisciplinary black aesthetics.
- Exhibitions: Venice Architecture Biennales (13th/18th), Istanbul Design Biennial, Lagos Biennial, Het Nieuwe Instituut (Rotterdam).
Awards include the JAE Fellowship, CCA-Mellon Fellowship, and Het Nieuwe Instituut Research Fellowship. His work interrogates colonial spatial legacies and celebrates vernacular spatial narratives through masquerade, dance, and mobility.
