Peter Sprague

Peter Sprague is a Lecturer and Production Manager in the Department of Theatre and Performance at Purchase College, State University of New York. He is actively involved in the department's main stage and Senior Project productions, contributing both academically and operationally to the program.

His research and artistic practice focus on performance, embodied presence, and the integration of technology in live performance. He explores interdisciplinary collaboration, acting, directing, vocal techniques, and the representation of identity in public and theatrical contexts. Peter has directed notable productions such as Charles Mee’s bobrauschenbergamerica and Suzan-Lori Parks’ 365 Days/365 Plays, often integrating multimedia and cross-departmental collaboration. His work has been presented at prestigious venues including the Ohio Theatre (SOHO), Alvin Ailey, Hofstra University, the Victory Theatre in Burbank, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
