Chelsea Gillespie

Chelsea Gillespie is an Adjunct Instructor in Drama at Vassar College, appointed since 2024. She holds a BA in Theater and Dance from The College of Wooster (2013). Her professional career includes extensive stage management roles with renowned institutions such as the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Brooklyn Academy of Music, and the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. Gillespie has toured globally, blending artistic collaboration with educational outreach.

Research & Teaching Focus: Gillespie emphasizes creative problem-solving methodologies in stage management education. Her classes encourage students to develop personalized artistic approaches. She currently teaches DRAM-213: Introduction to Stage Management in Production at Vassar.
