Peter Rainer

Peter Rainer serves as a Lecturer in Violin at the Berlin University of the Arts within the Faculty of Music's Institute for Artistic Training - Orchestral Instruments and Conducting. He concurrently holds lecturing positions at the Julius Stern Institute for the Promotion of Young Musicians and heads the high string department at the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Music High School, part of the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin.

His educational foundation includes violin studies with Max Speermann in Würzburg and advanced training under Dr. Eduard Schmieder at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, USA. These experiences shaped his technical and pedagogical approach to string performance.

Rainer's professional focus centers on Violin Performance mastery, Orchestral Conducting techniques, collaborative Chamber Music practices, and innovative Music Education methodologies. He prioritizes developing young violinists through structured pedagogy and creates interactive concert experiences specifically designed for children and family audiences, viewing youth training as his core artistic mission.

As an active performer, he co-founded and serves as concertmaster for both the Potsdam Chamber Academy and Los Angeles-based international chamber orchestra "I Palpiti". His performance history includes solo appearances with the Potsdam Chamber Academy, CD productions, and prior tenure as first concertmaster of the Brandenburg Philharmonic Orchestra in Potsdam. He maintains an active chamber music presence through ensembles like the Persius Ensemble and Max Brod Piano Trio at major international festivals.
