Igor Veligan

Igor Veligan is an Assistant Professor of Practice at the Conservatory of Music, University of the Pacific. He performs with ensembles such as the L'Estro Armonico String Quartet and Arlekin String Quartet, and holds leadership roles in orchestras including the San Francisco Choral Society Orchestra (concertmaster) and the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra (principal viola). He also teaches violin, viola, and chamber music at the University of the Pacific and American River College in Sacramento.

Education:

• MA in Violin Performance and Chamber Music, Odessa State Conservatory

Research & Performance Interests: Specializes in classical string performance, chamber ensemble dynamics, and pedagogy. Active in orchestral leadership roles and collaborative music projects across California.

Teaching Experience: Taught at Ukraine’s School for the Performing Arts and currently instructs at American River College.
