Kineko Barbini

Kineko Barbini is a violinist and faculty member at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM), teaching in the Pre-College and Continuing Education departments. She holds a graduate degree from the Juilliard School under Oscar Shumsky and has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship for U.S. studies. Her career highlights include serving as Associate Concertmaster for the Sacramento Symphony, Sacramento Chamber Orchestra, and Monterey Symphony, as well as Concertmaster roles with the Solano Symphony and Bear Valley Festival Orchestra.

Research interests focus on violin performance, chamber music collaboration, and orchestral ensemble techniques. Her extensive performance history includes engagements with the Chamber Music Society of Sacramento, Ariel String Quartet, and Festival San Miguel Allende, alongside notable artists like John Nakamatsu and Rachael Barton Pine.
