Peter O. Amah is an Associate Professor of Management at The University of Texas at San Antonio’s Alvarez College of Business. He holds a PhD from Gonzaga University, an MBA from the University of Washington, and advanced degrees in Theology and Philosophy. His research focuses on leadership paradigms, particularly servant-leadership models, human resources optimization, and ethics in business contexts. He has taught at institutions including the University of Washington and Seattle University before joining UTSA in 2024.
Dr. Amah’s work explores how servant-leadership can transform organizational cultures, enhance productivity, and improve workplace satisfaction. He currently investigates sustainable student engagement in hybrid learning environments using extended reality (XR) technologies. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals like the Africa Journal of Management and International Journal of Servant-Leadership.
Outside academia, he founded a non-profit that constructed a rural hospital in Africa and served as a leadership consultant for organizations like Bolton White Hotels. He is affiliated with professional bodies such as AOM, AFAM, and ILA. His teaching spans Business Ethics, Human Resource Management, and Organizational Behavior.
