Peter Nickerson

Peter Nickerson is a transplant nephrologist and Dean and Vice-Provost (Health Sciences) at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. He holds cross-appointments in the Department of Immunology and leads the Transplant Manitoba Research Group.

His research focuses on kidney transplant immunobiology, mechanisms of acute and chronic allograft rejection, HLA immunogenetics, and healthcare system design to improve transplant access. He has pioneered non-invasive diagnostics for renal allograft rejection.

Dr. Nickerson works at the Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg and serves as a medical consultant to the Transplant Immunology Laboratory at Shared Health. He is not currently accepting graduate students.
