Peter Murphey

Peter Murphey is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Film and Animation at RIT's College of Art and Design. With over 15 years of industry experience as an animator and cartoonist for clients including Cartoon Network, he specializes in hand-drawn animation techniques and storyboard artistry.

His teaching covers foundational animation principles, 2D animation production, and business strategies for animation professionals. Murphey's animated films have been screened at international festivals, and his comic strip 'Hippy and Pop' was syndicated by King Features. He developed the course 'Business and Careers in Animation' to bridge industry practices and academic training.
