Rodgers Dameron

Rodgers Dameron is an Assistant Professor in the School of Art at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, specializing in animation, visual effects, and graphics. His work spans diverse clients including PBS, National Geographic, Volvo, and Duke University. He contributed visual effects to the Emmy Award-winning PBS series Twice Born, and his animated film You Knew Me has screened at festivals like Austin Under the Stars and the Toronto International Women Film Festival.

Education: BFA in Painting from Pratt Institute (traditional and modern practices); MFA in Animation from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where his film The Discovery earned recognition at the Annecy International Animation Festival and honors from the Art Directors Club in New York.

Research interests include animation techniques, visual storytelling across media, 3D modeling, and digital illustration. He has taught courses in Animation, Storyboarding, and Digital Illustration at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and Kutztown University.
