Peter Middleton

Peter Middleton is a Clinical Professor at the Westmead Clinical School, University of Sydney. His clinical and research focus spans Respiratory Medicine and Sleep Disorders, with a particular emphasis on Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and CFTR modulator therapy.

Research Pillars:

• Developed international CF care standards (ECFS, TSANZ taskforce)
• Investigated CFTR modulator safety during pregnancy
• Explored antimicrobial resistance in CF
• Pioneered bronchiectasis treatment protocols
• Studied COVID-19 impacts on CF patients
