Peter Edwards is a Senior Lecturer in the Curtin School of Allied Health and Director of the Orthopaedic Research Foundation of Western Australia. His research focuses on orthopaedic rehabilitation, sports medicine, and digital health applications.
He leads research on rehabilitation protocols for musculoskeletal conditions, particularly pre/post-surgical exercise interventions and return-to-sport criteria. Current projects investigate rehabilitation pathways after ACL reconstruction and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty.
Edwards received the JOSPT Clinical Inquiry Award (2014) for developing clinical guidelines for matrix-induced autologous chondrocyte implantation. He maintains clinical practice as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist at Karrinyup Physiotherapy.
He directs fieldwork programs for Exercise Science and chairs the Faculty Digital Health Strategy committee.
