David Rees

David Rees is an Assistant Professor at the University of Bradford, affiliated with the Area School of Allied Health Professions & Midwifery within the Faculty of Health Studies. His expertise centers on musculoskeletal (MSK) practice, with a focus on outpatient care, ACL rehabilitation, and post-operative shoulder recovery. Transitioning to academia in 2015, he now leads the integrated master’s program in sports and exercise physiotherapy.

Education:

• Masters of Research in Clinical Practice (MResCP) funded by the National Institute of Health Research (2015)

Research & Teaching: David’s interests include MSK practice, physical activity promotion, and research methodologies. He has developed postgraduate MSK pathways and teaches modules like Exercise Theory and Prescription. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority.

Professional Experience: Previously worked in private practice, professional football, and large teaching hospitals, including roles in A&E, community clinics, and orthopaedic rotations.
