Peter Charles Rhee

Peter Charles Rhee, D.O., M.S., is a Full Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, where he serves as Program Director for the Mayo Clinic Hand Surgery Fellowship. A board-certified orthopedic and hand surgeon, Dr. Rhee specializes in upper extremity reconstruction for patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and complex trauma. As a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve, he brings extensive military medical experience to his clinical practice.

Dr. Rhee's research interests focus on upper extremity reconstruction in cerebral palsy and stroke patients, spasticity correction, vascularized bone grafting for nonunions, and wide awake hand surgery techniques. His clinical expertise spans the entire upper extremity from shoulder to fingertip, with special emphasis on functional restoration for patients with neurological conditions.
