Peter C. B. Phillips

Peter C. B. Phillips is a Visiting Professor at the School of Economics, Singapore Management University. He holds a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics and Political Science (1974), an M.A. from Yale University (1979), and a First Class Honours M.A. and B.A. from the University of Auckland (1971, 1969).

His research spans foundational and applied areas in econometrics, including stationary and nonstationary time series, financial econometrics, Bayesian methods, model determination, and forecasting. He also explores finite sample properties, nonparametric techniques, panel data asymptotics, and dynamic nonlinear modeling.

Phillips has received significant recognition for his contributions, including the Lee Kong Chian Distinguished Fellow title. He has advised several researchers, including TAO Yubo, LIU Yanbo, and ZHANG Yajie, reflecting his impact on academic mentorship.
