Peter Billmann is a Lecturer in the Music Department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, specializing in guitar instruction. He holds a BA in Jazz Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with additional studies at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music.
His research focuses on jazz and classical guitar performance techniques. With over 20 years as a freelance guitarist, his expertise spans performance, transcription, and arrangement. He has collaborated with renowned artists including Jim Hall and Richard Davis, and his transcriptions have been published internationally by Hal Leonard.
Mr. Billmann has extensive teaching experience spanning 25+ years, including previous faculty positions at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and guest lectures throughout Wisconsin.
